Morris County Prosecutor's Office Detective Supervisor Speaks at Christ Church Online Safety and Awareness Seminar

Published on February 01, 2019

On February 9, 2019, Morris County Prosecutor's Office Detective Supervisor Patrick LaGuerre provided an educational presentation for members of Christ Church of Rockaway. Detective Supervisor LaGuerre's program was part of Christ Church's Online Safety and Awareness Seminar. This seminar was held to educate the young adults and parents of the parish on proper online etiquette and the dangers that can result from improper internet usage.

Detective Supervisor LaGuerre provided two separate presentations, one for the parents and one for the teenagers in attendance. He focused on safe internet usage, including the consequences that can stem from committing cybercrimes. The split sessions fostered a comfortable environment in which members of the audience were able to ask questions. Following the small sessions, Detective Supervisor LaGuerre participated in a panel discussion to cover any further questions the audience may have had concerning his presentations. Morris County Prosecutor's Office Detective Spence Osaigbovo also participated in the program as a member of Christ Church.

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp stated, Providing residents of Morris County with educational information and programs is a top priority of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. I would like to thank Christ Church for hosting this seminar, and for inviting Detective Supervisor LaGuerre to share his expertise on internet safety with young adults and parents.
