Morris County Prosecutor's Office Detective Supervisor Patrick LaGuerre joined local students at Bloomfield College for a career development day on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Approximately fifty students from Bloomfield College's EOF (Educational Opportunity Fund) Program attended the presentation. The EOF Program focuses heavily on preparing students to enter the workforce with confidence and optimism.
Detective Supervisor LaGuerre, a Bloomfield College and EOF Program graduate, spoke with the students for one hour, during which time he discussed the various career paths available in law enforcement. The students had the opportunity for a question and answer session following the presentation. Detective Supervisor LaGuerre's approximately twenty years of law enforcement experience across multiple units, provided the students with insightful information for their future planning. Multiple students eagerly participated, stressing their interest in law enforcement careers.
Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp stated, The Morris County Prosecutor's Office will continue working with all levels of the education system to reach out and potentially inspire the next generation of law enforcement. With proper education and guidance, no goals are out of reach for our students.
