Morris County Prosecutor's Office Detective Joins Seniors At Annual Picnic

Morris County Prosecutor's Office Detective Supervisor Patrick LaGuerre attended the 38th Annual Dover Senior Citizens Picnic held on September 5, 2019 at Water Works Park. As the Supervisor of the Community Outreach and Recruitment Unit, Detective Supervisor LaGuerre joined over 300 seniors. During the event Detective Supervisor LaGuerre distributed informational pamphlets to attendees and provided safety and security information. Topics covered were Identity Theft, Telemarketers, and Financial Crimes targeting the elderly. The Morris County Prosecutor's C.A.R.E. Unit, which stands for Crimes Against The Retired & Elderly, investigates and prosecutes those who target senior citizens.

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said, A significant part of our community is made up of seniors. It is incumbent upon us to provide special attention to their protection and concerns. The C.A.R.E. Unit focuses on assisting our senior population and this presentation is one of many we have provided to seniors this year.
