On July 12, 2019, Morris County Prosecutor's Office Detective Ashley Gonzalez participated in a recruitment and information session for women in law enforcement hosted by the Women's Leadership Academy in partnership with multiple law enforcement agencies. The program was held at Rutgers University in Richard Weeks Hall in Piscataway, New Jersey.
As a former member of the Rutgers University Police Department, Detective Gonzalez was asked to speak at the program to share her experiences as a woman in law enforcement. With experience as a Patrol Officer with the Rutgers University Police Department and as a Detective in the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Detective Gonzalez's provided important information concerning the different avenues available for women in law enforcement.
Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said, Since joining our office, Detective Gonzalez has participated in several community outreach programs. We hope that she will continue to do so.
