Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker and Rockaway Township Police Chief Martin McParland announce that the 13-year-old female from Rockaway Township, New Jersey, has been located.
Deris Avila-Ulloa, who also goes by the nicknames Sofia and/or Zaisy who has been missing since November 22, 2021, has been found in Virginia and is safe. As of Wednesday morning, plans are underway for her return to New Jersey. The circumstances of her disappearance remain under investigation.
