Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Morris County Prosecutor's Office Acting Chief of Investigations Robert McNally and Chief Sean Conrad of the Jefferson Township Police Department announce and confirm an ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred in Jefferson Township. On July 14, 2019, at approximately 11:21 p.m., law enforcement was dispatched to a residence located on Mirror Place in Jefferson Township, New Jersey on a report of shots fired.
The fatality of one adult female has been confirmed. An adult male also sustained serious injury during this incident. At this time, the identities of these individuals will not be released.
The investigation remains ongoing but at this time there is no concern for the safety of the community.
