On Saturday, June 25, 2022, several detectives of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office attended the Morris Pride Event, which was held at the County College of Morris in Randolph, NJ from 10:30am to 5:00pm. These detectives represented the office as a whole during the event in continued efforts to foster a positive relationship between law enforcement and the LGBTQ+ community.

In addition to her assigned duties, Det. Supervisor Merced (depicted in middle of photo) serves as the NJ LGBTQ+ law enforcement liaison for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, and has diligently worked to promote trust and positive working relationships between law enforcement and the LGBTQ+ community through community outreach and education.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said, “In our pursuit to best serve the public, our office is committed to engaging all members in society, whether it’s on an individual or collective basis; and I want to acknowledge and thank our detectives for seizing this opportunity to enhance our relationship with the LGBTQ+ community during this event.”
