On October 11, 2018 Morris County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Brad Seabury met with the Senior Group of Church of Christ the King to provide them with his Opiates 101 program. The event was hosted at Church of Christ the King in New Vernon, New Jersey, and was organized through Carlos Perez and Shanice Johnson of the Morris County Office of Health Management. Chief Assistant Prosecutor Seabury focused strongly on the risks associated with addiction to prescription opioids, including the dangers of leaving expired or unwanted prescription opioids in their residences. The group of approximately 30 parishioners were receptive of the program, and asked numerous follow up questions at the end of the program. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office will continue to provide these educational community outreach programs throughout Morris County.
