Port Authority Police Officer Will Jimeno is our featured speaker. Will was a rookie officer who responded to the 9/11 attacks at the World Trade Center. He and fellow officer John McLoughlin were buried under the rubble but survived. His story was told in the Oliver Stone film World Trade Center.

The event will feature the reading of the names of all Morris County residents who passed on 9/11 and the 15 members of Engine 54 who lost their lives, a candlelight vigil, an invocation by Pastor Sidney Williams of Morristown’s Bethel AME Church, and musical selections by the Morris Choral Society, students from the Morris County School of Technology, and the Police Pipes and Drums of Morris County. Fire, Police, EMTs, and other emergency responders will join us at the ceremony.

Note: Parking will be available across the street from the Memorial. Shuttle buses will be available.

If you have any questions, contact Larry Ragonese at [email protected].

This event will be held rain or shine.
