Please join Morris County – in person or via livestream – for a remembrance ceremony as we honor those lost on 9/11 at the memorial on West Hanover Avenue, Parsippany.

This is our first year livestreaming our annual 9/11 remembrance.

This year’s guest speaker is Greg Manning, a Hanover Township native. He is a 33-year veteran of Emergency Services and a 20-year member of the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY). Mr. Manning was assigned to Engine 69/Ladder 28/Battalion 16 on 9/11. He worked at Ground Zero for several months following the attack, which took the lives of 343 fellow firefighters.

He is now a member of FDNY’s Squad 41 in the South Bronx and a member of FDNY’s Special Operations Unit.
The event will feature the reading of the names of all Morris County residents killed on 9/11 and a candlelight vigil. The Morris County Freeholders and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office will be joined at the ceremony by the Police Pipes and Drums of Morris County, elected representatives from Morris County and other first responder agencies from throughout the area.

If you have any questions, contact Brian Murray at [email protected].

This event will be held rain or shine.
