New York City Firefighter John Fila is our featured speaker. John is a member of Engine 54, Ladder 4, Battalion 9, which lost 15 of its members on September 11, 2001, as they were some of the first responders to the attack at the World Trade Center.

Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

The event will feature the reading of the names of all Morris County residents who passed on 9/11 and the 15 members of Engine 54 who lost their lives, a candlelight vigil, an invocation by Pastor Sidney Williams of Morristown’s Bethel AME Church, and musical selections by the Morris Choral Society, students from the Morris County School of Technology, and the Police Pipes and Drums of Morris County. Fire, Police, EMTs, and other emergency responders will join us at the ceremony.

Note: Parking will be available across the street from the Memorial. Shuttle buses will be available.
