Kelly will share his remarkable story of his time in space and how personal determination made the difference while meeting challenges on space missions and in his personal life. Kelly set the record for the total accumulated number of days spent in space, the single longest space mission by an American astronaut.

Kelly grew up in West Orange.

Registrants will receive a copy of Capt. Kelly’s “New York Times” best-selling memoir, “Endurance: My Year in Space, A Lifetime of Discovery,” courtesy of the law firm Porzio Bromberg & Newman.  The books will be available for pickup at the chamber office during the week of February 1.

“Capt. Kelly is the ideal speaker for our 100th annual meeting following one of the most uniquely challenging years any of us have ever faced,” said Meghan Hunscher, chamber president. “As business professionals and business owners, and as individuals and families, we have had to adapt to constantly changing conditions and we expect our new normal to continue evolving.

logo“Capt. Kelly’s career has been a series of challenges and changing environments that required him to learn and adapt to reach new horizons. I’m sure we all can learn from his story and be inspired that in 2021 the sky is not the limit for any of us.”

To register for the meeting, visit Chamber members can save $10 by registering by Jan. 15. Non-members are welcome to register, as well.

The meeting also will feature the presentation of the Delta Dental Leaders in Business awards, as well as the Saint Claire’s Health Huber Award to Tyler Cerbo of Cerbo’s Parsippany Green Houses.
