Join a Virtual 4‑H STEP Club

STEP Clubs are short-term exploratory programs focused on a single topic and meet a few times over the course of several weeks.

Club registration is limited and will be on a first come first serve basis. New clubs will continue to be added. Visit the Morris County 4-H site or the New Jersey 4-H website for more information.

Here are a few upcoming events:

Intro to Computer Science

January 16-18 @ 5:30pm-6:30pm

This 3-part teen-led workshop provides a basic introduction to computer science and programming.

A 4-H teen leaders will introduce her peers and their adult advisors to online activities and games that they can use to teach others about computational thinking, algorithms, Python, and more.

No prior CS experience is necessary

This is a great fit for those who want to learn a variety of online activities that they can use to teach younger youth about computer science as part of their volunteer hours and community service.  You will personally learn about computer science AND also be trained to facilitate these fun activities for others!  Learn more and sign up here.

4-H logoCareer Detectives: Clean Energy

Jan. 25-27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Youth members in grades 7–13 are invited to learn about a future career in clean energy. Career Detectives S.T.E.P club is offering a fun and informative mini-series to learn about working in the field of clean energy. Guest speakers from Rutgers Cooperative Extension, Stockton University, and the New Jersey Clean Energy Program will teach you about their careers and provide information about undergraduate degrees. Ask a Scientist: Medical & Public Health

January 28 @ 7:00-8:00pm

Meet with three Rutgers scientists to learn about the medical field, public health, nursing, and COVID-19 testing. You can submit questions ahead of time to the scientists. Learn more and register here.

My Body and Me

Mondays, January 25-March 8

The human body is filled with unique systems and interesting organs that we could simply not live without! Each night, we will cover a specific system of the body and discuss the importance of that system. We will learn about ways to maintain a healthy body while doing interactive and engaging activities along the way. Fantastic Fudge with 4-H

Be The Change 4-H Club invites you to cook along with them as they make some fantastic fudge. This simple and fun recipe allows plenty of room to get creative. One session: Feb. 10, at 4:30 p.m.

National 4-H Agri-Science Youth Summit,

Virtual, March 5-7. 4-H teens in grades 9-12 can apply to represent NJ 4-H at this virtual event. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to address the challenges facing agriculture, food security, and sustainability. Teens will learn from experts in the agricultural community including scientists, researchers, leaders, politicians, and advocates. Click here to learn more.
