Rabies Clinics are Free, Open to All State Residents
The final Morris County rabies clinic for 2020 is this Saturday in Mountain Lakes from 9-10 a.m. at Mountain Lakes Borough Hall, 400 Boulevard.
For all other clinics, search the Morris County Health Department website for municipalities or other county health department websites. Both Warren County and Sussex County list upcoming clinics. Call to verify that the clinic is still on before you go. All public rabies clinics are free and open to all state residents.
Rabies is an infectious disease caused by the rabies virus. Animals infected with rabies display strange behavior such as aggression and signs of neurologic impairment including vocalization, circling, and paralysis.
People who are bitten by or who have had contact with saliva from an animal should notify the local health department having jurisdiction where the animal is located and seek medical care.
