Request Launched for Proposals on How to Market Beautiful and Business Friendly Morris County
The Morris County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) has issued a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide consulting services to market Morris County’s treasures, from park systems to business-friendly public policies, to entice commercial interest in the region.
“Morris County is a great place to live, work and visit, offering something for everyone. A Forbes Top 10 county, Morris County has a Gross Regional Product of $53 billion, is home to hundreds of corporate headquarters and a business community as whole that employs more than 300,000 people, boasts a wide variety of communities, and offers fine arts and entertainment and a parks system second to none,” said Meghan Hunscher, President & CEO of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation.
“We are looking for a partner or partners who can take this jewel and tell its story in a way that draws businesses looking to relocate and valuing a highly educated and trained workforce as well as people, whether they are interested in moving here or just visiting for a day or a week,” she added.
The RFP seeks vendors willing and able to effectively offer:
Vendors may apply for any or all of the services requested, indicating whether they would partner with other companies or professionals and/or utilize subcontractors.
The MCEDC, through funding approved by the Morris County Board of Freeholders, will award contracts to the responsible and eligible vendor or vendors whose proposal is responsive to the RFP and is deemed by the MCEDC to be the most advantageous to and in the best interest of the MCEDC, according to the request. A lowest bid is a consideration but not the determining factor. The evaluation will identify those proposals which offer the best combination of expertise and value.
Service providers interested in submitting a proposal can find the RFP at the MCEDC website.
All proposals must be received by 5 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, January 12, 2021.
