Have you noticed an increase in day biting mosquitoes? It could be Aedes albopictus.

This day biting mosquito lays its eggs in containers of all sizes, including bottle caps!  They prefer biting ankles, feet and lower legs and like to hang out in the shade.  If you notice a small, black mosquito with bright white stripes on its legs, back and head you might have an Aedes albopictus problem.

The best way to get rid of these mosquitoes – eliminate their habitat.  Take a few minutes to check your property for containers and standing water.  Tip and toss any standing water!
