Job Title Weighmaster
Description Municipal Utilities Authority/Transfer Station – Seeking qualified Individual to operates scale equipment by entering data into computerized scale or by reading or recording printed weights or manually subtracting tare weight from gross weight to obtain accurate load weights.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of New Jersey law, rules, and regulations dealing with the weighing of various commodities, produce, articles, materials, or vehicles.
  • Knowledge of the procedures for keeping records of cash receipts.
  • Knowledge of the preparation of accurate and informative reports.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
Qualifications Applicant must possess a current and valid certificate as a weighmaster issued by the New Jersey State Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs, Office of the Superintendent of Weights and Measures.
