Info Sessions in Randolph, Denville, and Pequannock Highlight 15 Programs

The Morris County School of Technology invites high school students and their parents to attend upcoming Information Sessions to be held in January and February to learn about the county school district’s Share Time High School Programs. The sessions also include a chance to tour the facilities at each location.

Students who are accepted into these career and technical education programs attend the two-year program during their junior and senior years. They spend a portion of each day at their high school before being bused to their program location.

    • Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. at County College of Morris, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph in the Student Center This session will address programs in Engineering Technology Design and Prototyping (formerly known as EDAM), Robotics, Cybersecurity and Information Protection, and Culinary Arts and Hospitality.  Students may take college credit-bearing courses and earn certificates of achievement.
    • Jan. 30, 6:30 p.m. at Morris County School of Technology, 400 E Main St, Denville. This session will provide an overview of Auto Body and Collision Repair, Auto Service Technology, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Food Services, Building and Grounds Maintenance, Electrical Trades, Exercise Science, Plumbing and Pipefitting, and Welding Technologies. Students may earn industry recognized credentials, work-based learning opportunities and apprenticeship pathways.
    • Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at Pequannock High School, 85 Sunset Road, Pompton Plains. MCVSD’s Allied Health program will be discussed. Students may take college credit-bearing courses and participate in a clinical internship at Chilton Hospital.

Morris County Vocational School

Students in share-time programs build valuable career-readiness skills and gain real-world experience during the daily career and technical training, which is incorporated into the high school program. They also compete in career- and technical-education student organizations and prepare for careers and post-secondary experiences.

Morris School of Technology Share Time High School Info Session in Jan. and Feb.In addition to the share-time programs, the Morris County Vocational School District, which receives county funding from the Morris County Board of Freeholders, offers programs in full day Career Academies for Morris County high school students as well as Continuing Education programs.
