Info Sessions in Randolph, Denville, and Pequannock Highlight 15 Programs
The Morris County School of Technology invites high school students and their parents to attend upcoming Information Sessions to be held in January and February to learn about the county school district’s Share Time High School Programs. The sessions also include a chance to tour the facilities at each location.
Students who are accepted into these career and technical education programs attend the two-year program during their junior and senior years. They spend a portion of each day at their high school before being bused to their program location.
Orientations take place at the location of the share-time program. Click here to register for any of these sessions, or visit the website: https://www.mcvts.org
Students in share-time programs build valuable career-readiness skills and gain real-world experience during the daily career and technical training, which is incorporated into the high school program. They also compete in career- and technical-education student organizations and prepare for careers and post-secondary experiences.
Students in 10th grade may apply via online application at www.mcvts.org/apply and click on Share-Time Programs. Enrollment is open now. The deadline is March 27.
In addition to the share-time programs, the Morris County Vocational School District, which receives county funding from the Morris County Board of Freeholders, offers programs in full day Career Academies for Morris County high school students as well as Continuing Education programs.
To learn more about full time career academy programs for students, visit https://www.mcvts.org/Page/39. To earn a spot in one of these programs, apply in the fall of 8th grade.
