CCM, Morristown Medical Center, Unity Charter School are Among Honorees
The nonprofit TransOptions has announced it 2019 New Jersey Smart Workplaces, along with outstanding achievements by individuals, towns, schools, and businesses in Morris County and Northwest Jersey.
Smart Workplaces is an annual recognition program that emphasizes the importance of alternative and sustainable transportation options.
Fifty-four employers were recognized by TransOptions as 2019 leaders in transportation at the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels. This year’s honorees represent businesses large and small, universities, supermarkets, chambers of commerce and municipalities.
Honorees were chosen by the Transportation Management Association that serves all of northwest New Jersey with programs including teen and senior driving, bicycle and pedestrian safety, Safe Routes to School, New Jersey Smart Workplaces, Street Smart NJ and STEM-aligned (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) learning.
“Congratulations to all of the award winners for their excellent efforts in offering alternative and sustainable transportation options, which can benefit our traffic flow, the environment and the quality of life for their employees and all county residents,” said Morris County Freeholder Kathy DeFillippo, who is liaison to the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority. Also, thank you to TransOptions for bringing this all together.
