There is an opening for a part-time Program Development Specialist in the Community Development Office, Department of Human Services.  The primary responsibility of this position is to manage HUD-funded grant programs, conduct project analyses, and complete other HUD-required reports.

Prefer candidates with 2 years of experience in HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program administration but will train if there is closely related experience.

Requirements include a four-year degree from an accredited college and one year of experience in community service work involving program development, promotion of local community resources, working in a social service or public assistance program. Experience with public funding administration is beneficial.

This position is 20 hours per week. Evening hours are occasionally required to participate in Community Development funding meetings. Reports to the Community Development Office supervisor.

The position requires basic competency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.  The successful applicant must meet the requirements of the Program Development Specialist Community Services position in the NJ Civil Service Commission
