Acorn Hall Replica Dollhouse, Artisan-Made Crafts, History Books for Sale
Guests to Acorn Hall, the headquarters of the Morris County Historical Society, are invited to stop by the Gallery Gift Shop to find some unique holiday presents for everyone on their gift list.
Morris County Historical Society recently added handmade stained-glass stars, fused glass stars, and snowflakes from Laura of Garden State Glassworks, which add sparkle to any room and are perfect for trees or windows.
The Gallery Gift Shop features hand-crafted items by Morris County artisans, books on Morris County and local history, sterling silver jewelry, children’s items, as well as custom-made mugs, Christmas ornaments, and gifts for all ages.
Additionally, new for 2018, MCHS is selling ornaments and decorations, including a variety of glass ornaments, felt and glitter snowflakes, and custom Christmas stationery. Also featured is a “replica” Acorn Hall dollhouse, painted appropriately in an authentic 1860-1880 color scheme.
MCHS is located at Acorn Hall, 68 Morris Avenue, Morristown, and is open Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 1-4 p.m. Admission, which includes the exhibits and landscaped grounds, is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for students, and is free for children under 12 and MCHS members.
