For the sixth year in a row, the Morris Museum will be hosting the Portfolio Class Exhibition of design and fine art pieces created by students at County College of Morris. This event provides CCM students a venue to display their work to a larger audience outside of the college.

The exhibition, consisting of works produced by students taking Portfolio classes through CCM’s Department of Art and Design, runs from November 9 through January 3. A reception, which is free and open to the public, will take place Thursday, November 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Morris Museum is located at 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown.

“The Portfolio courses help students to critique, improve and select their best work; to create effective presentations such as websites, business cards, PowerPoints and portfolio books; and to create written documents for the purpose of marketing their work and themselves to galleries, museums and prospective clients or to transfer to four-year colleges and universities,” said Todd L. W. Doney, CCM professor of visual arts. “Having their work on exhibit at the Morris Museum is a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their work.”

The exhibition represents the summation of all of a student’s work from his or her years of creative studies at CCM. For information on the Department of Art and Design at CCM, visit
