Topics Include Associate Degrees, Scholarships and Earning Credits While In High School

County College of Morris is offering two Saturday Information Sessions and a Scholars Day so high school students and their parents can learn about the range of opportunities that the college offers in high-quality education and a jump start on college.

CCM Offers Info Sessions for High School Students and Parents Starting Saturday

Two Saturday Information Sessions are scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 27 and Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. Those sessions will cover the full selection of associate degree programs, student services, financial aid and scholarships and co-curricular offerings provided at CCM. A tour of the campus with a student ambassador also will be offered.

On Thursday, Nov. 8, CCM will host Scholars Day for all students interested in attending the college from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. At this session, high school students and their families will gain information on CCM’s associate degree and student support programs. The session will also cover:

  • The Challenger Program for high school students allows them to earn college credits.
  • The Honors Study program which is designed to help superior students develop their special talents, interact with peers of similar abilities, and enjoy an intensive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
  • Transfer opportunities and agreements that help students continue their studies to earn a bachelor’s degree.
  • NJ STARS covers the cost of tuition at New Jersey’s community colleges for students who rank in the top 15 percent of their class.
