Popular Tour Highlights Rarely Displayed Items at Washington’s Headquarters Museum in Morristown
The Morris County Tourism Bureau will feature a close look at American Presidents and First Ladies during the annual curator’s presentation at the Morristown National Historical Park in Morristown on Saturday, July 28 at 10 a.m.
Jude Pfister, author and Chief of Cultural Resources at the National Park, will present items from the archives and collections associated with American presidents and their first ladies.
The museum interprets the story of the Continental Army’s time in Morristown during the Revolutionary War. But in this program, Pfister will explore other people and time periods by displaying and discussing fascinating items which never see the light of day.
Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased online below. Tour guests are invited to spend the day, free of additional charge at the park, touring the galleries, visiting the Ford Mansion and exploring the new interactive Discover History Center which opened last February on President’s Day weekend.
The event will be held in the museum auditorium located near the Ford Mansion, also known as Washington’s Headquarters, at 30 Washington Place, off Lafayette Avenue, in Morristown.
