Checkpoint in Parsippany Remains Through End of July

Morris County authorities will be on the lookout for intoxicated drivers for the month of August in Mount Olive.

Knapp, Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Investigations Stephen Wilson, and Mount Olive Police Chief Stephen Beecher announce the implementation of a joint Driving While Intoxicated checkpoint at a not-to-be-disclosed location in Mount Olive for the month of August.

Law enforcement personnel from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Mount Olive Police Department will conduct the checkpoint.Morris Prosecutor: DWI Checkpoint in Mount Olive in August

DWI checkpoints are funded by grants received by the Prosecutor’s Office from the State Division of Highway Traffic Safety to establish checkpoints in cooperation with municipal police departments throughout Morris County.

The Prosecutor’s Office has set up sobriety checks in the past two years  in  Chester, Denville, Jefferson, Mount Olive, Randolph, Roxbury, Washington Township, and most recently in Parsippany, where a checkpoint will remain until the end of this momnth.
