Business Office Will Remain Open through Planned Sept. 

The Morris County Historical Society announces that its headquarters, Acorn Hall, will be closed for historic house and exhibit tours through August  due to annual interior maintenance, which will include the modification of the main bathroom to ADA standards.Morris County Historical Society's Acorn Hall Closed Until Sept. for RepairsThe Society’s business office, however, remains open on Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The MCHS will resume offering historic house and exhibit tours at Acorn Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 5, when it returns to its regular tour schedule on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

MCHS is located at Acorn Hall, 68 Morris Avenue, Morristown. Admission, which includes the exhibits and landscaped grounds, is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for students, and is free for children under 12 and MCHS members.  For more information, call MCHS at 973-267-3465 or visit the MCHS website: MorrisCountyHistory.org.

Founded in 1945, MCHS is a member-supported, nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve and promote the history of Morris County.

The MCHS receives operating funds from the Morris County Board of Freeholders and the New Jersey HistoricalCommission, and project/preservation grant funding from the New Jersey Historic Trust, 1772 Foundation, and Morris County Historic Preservation Trust.
