Focus of Project is Convergence of Routes 80,46 and 53 in Denville
The state Department of Transportation will hold a Public Information Center on Wednesday evening, July 18, in Denville to inform local residents, public officials and the business community about a planned Route 53, Route 46 and I-80 connected intersection improvement project in Denville planned to start in 2022.
The public meeting will be held at the Denville Municipal Building, 1 St. Mary’s Place, Denville, N.J. 07834 from 6-to-8 p.m.
Participants will have an opportunity to review exhibits of the proposed project, ask questions, and discuss any concerns with the NJ DOT staff.
According to NJ DOT, the proposed Route 46 eastbound, I-80 westbound, and Route 53 southbound upgrades will improve the safety and traffic flow at the busy convergence of the three roadways.
Preliminary engineering and final design is scheduled for 2019-2022, with construction anticipated to start in 2022.
