Ice-skating Classes for All Ages Begin Next Week  — Register Now

Morris Parks: Learn to Skate this Summer at Icy Cool Mennen Sports ArenaSummer skating lessons will start next week (June 26) at the Morris County Park Commission’s Mennen Sports Arena. There is still time to register now for group ice skating lessons for skaters ages 3 to adult.

The Learn to Skate program offers 30-minute classes based on age and ability. Special sessions are devoted to hockey, creative moves and an advanced free skate. Group sizes range from 5 to 10 skaters.

Classes are offered Tuesdays beginning June 26 and Thursdays beginning June 28. The sessions run 7 and 8 weeks and cost $130 to $140. Discounts are available for multiple family registrations. The registration deadline is 48 hours before the first class.

The William G. Mennen Sports Arena, located at 161 Hanover Ave., Morristown, is a full service ice center with three rinks and skating year around. It offers public sessions, group lessons, hockey clinics, figure skating clubs, skating camps and birthday party packages. The facility is available to rent for large events such as dog shows, graduations and corporate meetings. The facility is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Closed July 4.
