Morris County Vocational SchoolThe Morris County School of Technology in Denville has scheduled an Information Session for their Share Time High School Programs on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 6 p.m. It will be held in the school cafeteria, which is located in Building One.

Interested students and their families are invited to learn about two year, half-day programs, providing students the opportunity to receive daily Career and Technical Education (CTE) training as part of their junior and senior year high school program.

Students and parents will have the opportunity to tour the facilities and meet with teachers and current students. A computer lab will also be available for students to complete the online application.

Morris County School of Technology offers the following Share Time programs, which prepare students for careers utilizing the latest technology and focusing on workplace skills and real-world experiences: Auto Body Collision Repair, Automotive Service Technology, Carpentry, Fundamentals of Building & Grounds Maintenance, Fundamentals of Food Services, Fundamentals of Retail & Supermarket Careers, Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing (in partnership with County College of Morris), Computer Aided Design and Drafting, Cosmetology, Electrical Trades, Plumbing and Pipefitting, and Machining and Welding Technologies.

Students in 10th grade may apply via online application at www.mcvts.org under Admissions>Application Form> Share Time Programs tabs.  Priority will be given to all applications as they are received. Applicants who successfully meet the admissions criteria will be required to attend a Shadow Session for final consideration. The application will remain open for rolling admissions until all seats are filled. Once all seats are filled, applicants will be placed on a waiting list.

Share Time programs are half-day sessions providing juniors and seniors in high school the opportunity to receive daily career and technical training as part of their school program.
