Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Roxbury Police Chief Marc Palanchi have announced that Cameron Muir, 23, of Stanhope, has been found guilty of two counts of Sexual Assault and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child after a jury trial before the Superior Court Judge Sohail Mohammed in Passaic County.Morris County Prosecutor's logo

On March 25, 2012, the female victim disclosed to a family member that Mr. Muir sexually assaulted her on two occasions.

The first act occurred when the victim was 4 years-old and the defendant was 17.  The second act occurred when the victim was 5-years-old and the Defendant was 18.  Mr. Muir was babysitting the victim at the time of the acts in question.

The just returned the verdict last Thursday, Dec. 21. The defendant was remanded to the Passaic County Jail and is expected to be sentenced on April 25, 2018.Morris Prosecutor: Stanhope Man Guilty of Sexually Assaulting Child in Roxbury
