Morris County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Brad Seabury, a leading expert on drug abuse and addictions, will make a presentation on the “Opiate Epidemic” to the Morris County Chamber of Commerce next Wednesday, Oct. 19, in Florham Park.

The event, including registration, will run from 8:15-9:30 a.m.1:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Chamber’s headquarters at 325 Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park.

Seabury will cover:

  • An overview of the Opiate Epidemic in New Jersey and Morris County; how the problem started and where we are in dealing with the situation as a county, state and nation;
  • The impact the Opiate Epdemic has had on our county community and the stigma associated with the disease of addiction;
  • An interactive discussion on the new approach law enforcement is taking to combat the community crisis of addiction — one that affects families from every socio-economic level in the county.MORRIS-COUNTY-STIGMA-FREE

Seabury is assigned the prosecutor’s Special Operations Division, which consists of the Narcotics Task Force, Intelligence, Fugitive, High Tech Crimes, Forfeiture and Homeland Security Units. He is responsible for overseeing the Prosecutor’s Juvenile and Drug Court units.
