Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Florham Park Police Chief Robert Treibe announce that Mark J. Iantosca, 52, of Florham Park, was sentenced today in Superior Court to seven years in New Jersey state prison.

Prosecutor 2He also must register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law, according to the sentence imposed by Superior Court Judge Catherine I. Enright during a court hearing in Morristown today.

The defendant, Iantosca, pleaded guilty on May 27 to the charge of Sexual Assault, a crime of the second degree.

On Feb. 26, 2016, an investigation commenced when the victim reported to law enforcement that the defendant engaged in acts of reciprocal oral sex with him at the Iantosca’s home.  At the time of the acts, the victim was a child between the ages of 16 and 18 years old.

Iantosca admitted in court to performing numerous sexual acts with a child between the ages of 16 and 18 years old.   These actions occurred on multiple occasions between the dates of June 15, 2008 and June 14, 2010.

Assistant Prosecutor Laura Magnone represented the State in these proceedings.
