Two major traditional municipal festivals — sponsored by the towns – are set to be held this Saturday, Oct. 1, in Morris County : K-Fest in Kinnelon and Bottle Hill Day in Madison.
There will be live music on several stages, food, amusements, sidewalk sales, more than 200 vendors, local craftspeople, displays by community groups, plus a beer garden in an all-day event that is free and open to the public. Also, there will be an evening fireworks display at Drew University.
Admission: No Admission Fee – donations for Volunteer Groups gratefully accepted.
Street Fair 1-7 p.m.; select artisans/crafts; food specialties; information/activity displays by municipal, community, county & state volunteer organizations: For example: Kinnelon Board of Health, Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Co., Kinnelon CERT/OEM Team, etc…
Amusement Rides: Will be running by 1 p.m. and will stop running at the start of the fireworks, approximately 8:30p.m.
Fireworks: KHS Field at dark – about 8:30 p.m. Fireworks attendees will be seated in the football field bleachers and adjacent fenced grounds;
Roads: Police will close Kinnelon Road at Ricker Road, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with access permitted to Silas Condict Park and Upper Kiel Ave.
Parking: Parking access to the Kinnelon High School Parking lot will be through the rear Kiel Ave driveway.
