Thousands Attended the Annual Family Friendly Event Last Month at Chubb Park in Chester
The annual Morris County 4-H Fair, a showcase and fun celebration of the efforts of 4-H youths from across Morris County, was a great success during its run in late July at Chubb Park in Chester Township.
A host of family-friendly activities included pony rides, hay rides, petting zoos, animal shows, fireworks, tricky tray, car and motorcycle show, hot air balloon rides, watermelon eating and cake decorating contests, live entertainment, delicious food, and amusement rides.
Most important, the county’s 4-Hers will get to display their animals and projects, which are a culmination of the past year’s hard work.
“This was a showcase for the 4-H kids from across our county, allowing us to celebrate their achievements and to call attention to the positive efforts of these young people who are the future leaders of Morris County,” said Freeholder Doug Cabana, who participated in the opening ceremonies at the fair. “We are extremely proud of the efforts they made and the work they displayed at the fair.’’
