REGISTER NOW TO ATTEND MORRIS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EVENT THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 22
New Jersey Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno will address the Morris County Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business luncheon on Friday, April 22, in a “Lunch with a New Jersey Trail Blazer’’ at the Westin Governor Morris in Morris Township.
IMPORTANT: Registration for this event is due by tomorrow, April 20.
The state’s first Lt. Governor will discuss her views on why building and fostering strong relationships can be used to help others and influence positive changes.
In 2007, Kim Guadagno was elected as the first female sheriff in Monmouth County. She then twice ran successfully with Gov. Chris Christie for two terms as Lt. Governor.
Lt. Governor Guadagno has been a leader in the Christie Administration’s efforts to improve New Jersey’s economic climate, seeking to encourage job growth and make business feel welcome in New Jersey.
Also, as Secretary of State, she oversees promotion of the state’s $40 billion tourism industry and administers programs related to the arts, culture and history – all of which improve the state’s quality of life and are beneficial to a good business climate in the state.
“We have heard the Lt. Governor speak on many occasions about economic development and have been inspired by her leadership,’’ said Morris County Freeholder Director Kathy DeFillippo, who is one of three women on the seven-member board of freeholders. “She is a trail blazer in our state and all women (and men) can learn from her experiences.’’
The nearly 900 members of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce represent the backbone of the business community in Morris County. Their collective investment of resources and volunteer spirit help businesses grow, provide impactful education and professional development training, influence public policy, drive economic development and job growth, and partner with the not-for-profit community to make Morris County the best place to live and work in New Jersey.
The Women in Business Committee offers professional women a unique business opportunity created specifically for them, allowing them to meet like-minded women with similar goals and business issues
Friday’s luncheon with Lt. Governor Guadagno, which is sponsored by Ferring Pharmaceuticals and JCP&L, will start at 11:45 a.m. with a networking and registration session, and the luncheon and program will run from 12:15-1:45 p.m. The cost is $60 for Chamber members and $80 for non-members.
