Morris County residents who wish to change their party affiliation prior to the June Presidential Primary Election, so they don’t miss a chance to vote for their favorite candidates in what promises to be a hotly contested and important election, on the national, county and local scene, must do so by next Wednesday, April 13.
You can file a Change of Party Affiliation form online or by coming in to the Morris County Superintendent of Elections Office at 10 Court Street in Morristown, on the second floor of the County Government Administration and Records Building.
It is important to note that a newly registered voter or a voter who has never voted in a Primary Election can affiliate with a party on the day of the primary. But if you have previously voted in a primary election and are registered with either major party, and desire to change affiliation for this election, you must do so within the next week.
