With the risk of the NJ TRANSIT rail work stoppage happening this weekend, the agency has launched a website – www.njrideshare.com – to help assist in the traveling public to find carpool and other commuting options.
To connect with other commuters through this tool, to find a carpool or vanpool within New Jersey – including ridesharing to ferry terminals, park and rides and PATH stations – you must register with NJ Rideshare. The site also provides information about public transit options, including bus routes.
NJ Transit promises not share your information with any other organizations. Your home address and name will never appear on the match list and your email or phone number is only shared when they find a rideshare match for you.
