Adults seeking to earn a college degree, transition to a new career or obtain a certificate to enhance their employability can find a range of affordable and convenient options at the County College of Morris (CCM). To better explore those options, CCM has scheduled an Open House for Adults on Thursday, March 10.
The open house begins at 6:30 p.m. with an opening message and overview in the Student Community Center, Davidson Room, on CCM’s Randolph campus, 214 Center Grove Road. At 7 p.m., participants will be able to take part in breakout sessions based on their areas of interest.
The breakout sessions will consist of Associate Degree and Credit Classes, Continuing Education Programs, and Bachelor Degree Options at CCM offered by Rutgers University.
CCM faculty and advisers address special circumstances facing adult students, such as juggling work, family and college. Participants also will have the opportunity to learn about financial aid and scholarships.
At CCM, adults are presented with an expansive selection of credit and noncredit offerings, including one-week to semester-long certificate program to more than 50 associate degree programs.
Also, there is the opportunity to earn a Rutgers bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, journalism, psychology, or public and nonprofit administration on the college’s Randolph campus. Online, hybrid, evening and weekend classes also are offered to fit a variety of schedules.
The Open House for Adults is specifically designed for those who have been out of high school for a few years and are seeking to expand their professional opportunities. The $30 application fee will be waived for anyone who applies for admission at the open house.
Open house visitors can park in Lot 6. For more information, go to www.ccm.edu or call 973-328-5100.
