The Morris County Sheriff’s Office has ten new officers who took the oath of office last week, and are now headed to the Morris County Police Academy for training.

Each of the new officers took the oath of office from Sheriff Edward Rochford at a ceremony held on Friday, Jan. 8, in the freeholders public meeting room at the Morris County Administration and Records Building in Morristown.

The recruits will be at the Police Academy in Parsippany for the next 22 weeks for basic training.  They will graduate in June and then start their official duties..

The new officers are:

Jonathan Coleman, Rockaway Borough; Rony Giordano, Dover; Danielle O’Connor, Wharton; David Ribaudo, Parsippany; Nicholas Ricciotti, Roxbury; Robert Monaco, Budd Lake;Timothy Palazzolo, Jefferson; Richard Bosland, Boonton; German Liranzo, Jefferson; and Yashira Schiavo, Lincoln Park.
