The 2015 version on the Morris County Park Commission’s annual “Gingerbread Wonderland and Craft Show’’ will kick off it’s 10-day run this Friday, Dec. 4, at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township.
More than 10,000 visitors come to arboretum each year to view more than 200 incredible and edible gingerbread creations. Past creations have included, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Santa’s Workshop, Hanukah Menorahs, a grand piano, the nutcracker, and even the White House.
“The Gingerbread Wonderland and Craft Show is a special event because it celebrates the imagination and creativity of the many participants,” said Lesley Parness, Superintendent of Horticultural Education at the Morris County Park Commission.
Gingerbread Wonderland is held from Friday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, except for a 7:30 p.m. closing time on Fridays.
The Holiday Craft Show is only open on weekends, Dec. 5 & 6, and Dec. 12 & 13. Artists and crafters offer a variety of unique handmade gifts. Different crafters setup displays each weekend to provide a wide selection of products.
Admission is $2 per person and children under 2 are FREE. Groups of 8 or more must make a reservation by calling 973.326.7601.
