Morristown, N.J. – On April 23, 2015, the Children’s Room at the Morris County Library was dedicated to the late Joan Bramhall, former Morris County Clerk and Freeholder who passed away in August, 2014.
Bramhall spent many years in public service in Morris County as a Freeholder, as County Clerk and as Chairman of the Morris County Republican Party, and was the founding chairman of the Morris County Library Foundation.
Friends, family members, elected officials and community leaders, as well as members of the public, attended the event. Several speakers offered commentary, remembering Bramhall for her leadership, dedication, and kind and fair treatment of all people from all walks of life, whether they were celebrities and presidents, co-workers, volunteers or members of the community.
The Morris County Library Foundation presented the Bramhall family with a plaque that will be displayed outside the Children’s Room in her honor and reads, “Fine libraries exist with public funds; but it is through public funds they are able to flourish.”
Judge Joan Bedrin Murray presented a check on behalf of the Library Foundation for $5,000 that will be used for materials and programs in the Children’s Room including:
