Morris View Healthcare Center will join hundreds of communities and organizations across the nation in October and will conduct a Walk to End Alzheimer’s® on the Morris View campus in Morris Township on Saturday Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The walk will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, with the money raised being used to assist in the association’s initiatives of care, support and research.

The walkers at Morris View will include staff, families and friends of Morris View residents and anyone who wishes to use Morris View as his or her walk site to represent a loved one or friend who has suffered from Alzheimer’s.

The walk on the Morris View grounds is an all ages, all abilities event. Set up and registration will take place between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. In the event of rain, the walk will be moved inside to the Atrium.

While there is no fee to register, each walker is asked to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness. Morris View will be handing out donation sheets for all participants to fill out and mail directly to the Alzheimer’s Association.

More information about the Morris View Walk to End Alzheimer’s® on Oct. 18 can be obtained by contacting Morris View Director of Admissions Kathy Goldberg at 973-829-8023 or at [email protected].

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
