Morristown Municipal Airport forecasts a temporary change in aircraft operations in the vicinity of the airport because of the closure of its primary runway and the increased usage of the secondary runway.

The closure of the primary runway will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, with the closure projected to last approximately 13 days.  Airport officials expect the reopening to occur at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16.

The dates and times are subject to change due to weather conditions.

The temporary closure of the primary runway is part of an ongoing multi-year Runway Rehabilitation Project at Morristown Municipal Airport. This 10-year phased-in project will replace existing infrastructure and does not include any runway extensions or airport expansions.
