The Morris-Sussex-Warren Workforce Investment Board and Employment & Training Services will partner with the NJ Health Care Talent Network to hold a Healthcare Career Exploration Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy.
Jack Patten, WIB director, said the event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is not a job fair, but is aimed at jobseekers interested in a career in a medical or health field.
According to Patten, those attending the fair will be able to access health care career information and guidance to aid them in establishing their career path. At the same time, he said, they may find the opportunity to network with people who work in their chosen field.
In addition, attendees will be able to take advantage of a number of health screenings, including skin cancer, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision, hearing and dental, and will also be able to avail themselves of information on health and wellness, mental health and substance abuse.
Additional information can be obtained online at http://www.hctn-nj.org or by calling the NJ Health Care Talent Network at 848-445-9436.
The Morris County Public Safety Training Academy is located at 500 West Hanover Ave. in Parsippany.
