The Morris County Department of Planning and Public Works, Division of Planning and Preservation, has announced that applications for 2014 funding of open space projects under the Morris County Preservation Trust are now available online at http://morrisplanning.org/divisions/PresTrust/OpenSpace/application.asp.
Any of the 39 municipalities in the county and qualified charitable conservancies are eligible to apply for project funding, said Barbara Murray, open space program coordinator.
The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, June 20.
Since the creation of the program in 1993, more than 21,000 acres of open space and farmland in the county have been preserved, Murray said.
