The Morris County School of Technology will host an Open House for its Share Time High School Programs on Thursday, Jan.9 at 6 p.m. on the schools campus at 400 East Main Street in Denville.

Interested students in 10th and 11th grades and their families are invited to come and explore the career and technical training available while in high school. Share Time Programs provide high school students with daily half day training in a specialized area.

The Open House is designed to provide visitors the opportunity to tour the Share Time programs, meet Share Time teachers, speak with students and learn about the application process and admission criteria.

The Open House will also feature refreshments, door prizes, demonstrations, activities by current students and exhibits from industry partners to help potential students learn about pathways to a career. Additionally, all attendees will receive a complimentary ticket to the Jazz Band and Chorus Concert at 7pm in the Gymnasium. The concert will feature the MCST Chorus, Lab Band Jammers, MCST Rock Orchestra, Band Labbers, and The Jazz Devils.

The Morris County School of Technology offers the Share Time programs is Auto Body/Collision Repair, Automotive Service Technology, Carpentry, Computer Drafting and Graphics Studio, Cosmetology, Electrical Trades, Plumbing, and Welding Technology.

Students with special needs who require small classroom settings are offered programs in Auto Body, Auto Service Technology, Building and Grounds Maintenance, Building Construction, Food Services and Retail Supermarkets.
