The Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority is seeking nominations for awards to be presented at “Highly Caffeinated Recycling,” the 26th Morris County Recycling Awards Dinner that is scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover.

Each year, the MCMUA honors individuals, businesses, educational institutions, civic and religious organizations that have been highly energetic while working on successful waste prevention, re-use, litter abatement and recycling projects, said Penny Jones, Recycling Education Specialist with the MCMUA.

Among the awards to be presented is the Hy Nadel Creativity Award, established in 2010 in memory of Herman (Hy) Nadel of Lincoln Park, who was a member of the MCMUA Board for more than 17 years, including six years as chairman and three years as vice chairman. Nominees for this award should have a passion for recycling and for creatively nurturing planet Earth, Jones said.

A nomination form may be downloaded from the MCMUA website,, and the MCMUA must receive completed nomination forms by Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.

Anyone seeking additional information can call Jones at 973-285-8395.
