The volunteers are IRS-certified.They provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. They can also inform taxpayers about special tax credits for which they may qualify such as Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit and Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled.

VITA volunteers will be at the county library, 30 East Hanover Ave., in Whippany, from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturdays until April 13, and again Monday, April 15, from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
