The administrator of the county-owned Morris View Healthcare Center has been presented with the American College of Health Care Administrators Facility Leadership Award.
Cathy Engler, who has been Morris View administrator since January 2008, was recognized for the outstanding results Morris View achieved on ACHCA’s performance reviews.
In honoring Engler of Berkeley Heights, the ACHCA said it firmly believes that facility excellence is a reflection of leadership excellence.
The award is based on three years of skilled nursing facility data from health, fire and life safety and complaint surveys as well as improvement in the last two quarters of the reported quality measures.
The 50-year-old American College of Health Care Administrators is the only professional association devoted solely to meeting the professional needs of today’s long-term care administrators and executives.
Morris View Healthcare Center in Morris Township provides a diverse level of care for those in need of short-term medical, therapeutic and continuous care within a skilled nursing setting.
