The Morris County Freeholders have designated October as Arts and
Humanities Month in the county.

The freeholders at their Sept. 26 work session presented a proclamation from the board to Anne Aronovitch, executive director of the Arts Council of the Morris Area.

The proclamation points to the arts and humanities as “adding beauty and balance to our lives.”

It also extols the virtues of the arts and humanities organizations in Morris County and urges citizens to “celebrate, promote, support and participate in the many outstanding arts and cultural opportunities Morris County has to offer.”
