A delegation from Ningbo, a seaport city of northeastern Zhejiang province, China, met with Morris County government officials Sept. 28 in Morristown.

Morris County Freeholders Gene Feyl and Margaret Nordstrom hosted the group, which was interested in learning about how county governments function in the United States.

The delegation included representatives from the Foreign Affairs Office and the Trade and Grain Bureau in Zhenhai, a district of Ningbo, and the office responsible for business promotion and investment in Ningbo.

The freeholders and county government staff members gave the Chinese officials a brief overview of the Morris County government and the services it provides to county residents, and then took them on a tour of various county facilities and historic sites.

This is the second delegation from Zhejiang province to meet with county officials in the last two months.
