The Morris County Park Commission’s Fosterfields Living Historical Farm and Historic Speedwell are two of a number of area museums, historic sites and cultural attractions that will be taking part in “Be Our Guest Day,” Sunday, May 15.

From noon until 5 p.m. that day, everyone can enjoy free admission to those and other sites, including Acorn Hall, The Morris Museum, Washington’s Headquarters, Schuyler-Hamilton House, Macculloch Hall Historical Museum and Craftsman Farms.

A free shuttle will be available between some of the locations.

At Fosterfields, one of the activities being offered that afternoon is a “Seeds to Sow and Grow” program, where farmers will help you sow seeds that will grow into the types of grains and vegetables once found on the farm in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Fosterfields is located at 73 Kahdena Rd., in Morristown.

Historic Speedwell, a National Historic Landmark at 333 Speedwell Avenue in Morristown, is where Alfred Vail worked with Samuel F.B. Morse to perfect the telegraph.
